30 years ago, an educationist chose to think differently; and thus was born Vivekalaya. In the time that has passed since, this institution has grown to become a symbol of empowering thought and an expression of creative excellence.
Vivekalaya’s edifice is built on the power of people – teachers, faculty, researchers and most importantly, its students. It is through this fundamental belief that it has been able to create a different path and walk it.
Vivekalaya is an institution that functions on a greater principle, one that echoes, love, compassion, understanding and acceptance of those who are different. Our growth has been an organic one. We have stayed true to our vision to provide education and an opportunity to learn to all, no matter ability.
“Human resources are like natural resources they are often buried deep”
a quote by renound educationalist Ken Robinson echoes our ideals, it has been our aim to empower, enrich and encourage children to enjoy and engage in their learning. Our 30 years have each been milestones in various ways, as we have learned and grown along with our children.
Principles have always been
To empower students through a holistic learning experience
To set goals
To make the right choices
To grow and develop integrally
To maximise their potential
To be a responsible citizen and contribute to society in a positive manner
