30 years ago, an educationist chose to think differently; and thus was born Vivekalaya. In the time that has passed since, this institution has grown to become a symbol of empowering thought and an expression of creative excellence.

Vivekalaya’s edifice is built on the power of people – teachers, faculty, researchers and most importantly, its students. It is through this fundamental belief that it has been able to create a different path and walk it.

Vivekalaya is an institution that functions on a greater principle, one that echoes, love, compassion, understanding and acceptance of those who are different. Our growth has been an organic one. We have stayed true to our vision to provide education and an opportunity to learn to all, no matter ability.
